Yeah, I know, I slipped...almost two months without posting, but I caught myself. :aww: At any rate, I hope everyone had a nice Easter, or a wonderful Passover if you're Jewish. I love BOTH holidays, and it's a joy to celebrate them. For me, it's not really the religious part of those holidays that I love...it's more that it's a celebration of Spring...a time for new growth, new beginnings, new loves (or the renewal of old loves), new....everything. :iconsmile--plz: Spring and Summer are my favorite times of the year, and I just get all happy when they come around. :iconcarameldansenplz:

But there's one part of Spring that I don't like.......it's the time of year when I get SICK sometimes too. Luckily this year wasn't as bad as last year...at least I didn't have to go to the hospital. I'm a little sick now, but nothing I can't handle. :peace:;) Alright then, enough of that...I don't know if you all remember, but I did a journal a while ago about what new 2d movie Disney can do after The Princess And The Frog and the upcoming The Snow Queen, and after just recently discussing it with someone else, I have a couple of new stories Disney could do...

King Midas Touch - A very old and well-loved story about a king that makes a wish that everything he touches turns into gold. The wish comes true, but at a terrible cost....everything he touches DOES turn to gold, so now he can't enjoy food, drink, flowers, or even the touch of his own daughter, whom he accidentally turns into gold. Disney would make a killing doing that. :thanks:

The Twelve Dancing Princesses - Yes, yes, I know Mattel already did that with "Barbie And The 12 Dancing Princesses", but it was completely different from the fairy tale, and I know that there can be enough room for Disney to do their own version...this time more close to the original tale mixed with their own spin. That should be interesting indeed. Basically it's about how twelve princess sisters are cursed to dance every single night with twelve princes, and their father, the king, is perplexed as to why their dancing shoes are so worn every night, even though he locks their door at bedtime. Eventually a traveling soldier is given the task to solve the mystery, and..well, you have to read it to find out. ;)

Jack And The Beanstalk - Even though there has been a short animated film of this (with Mickey Mouse...I think), it's surprising to know that Disney has never really made a major feature animated film of this. :wow: It's one of my favorites actually....a poor young boy is tricked into trading his cow for some magic beans, and after his angry mother throws them anyway, they turn into a giant beanstalk. He actually climbs it to encounter a giant...and saves a princess. :giggle: I would love to see how that would look.

So that's all I can think of now. Anyone else have some ideas for other movies Disney can make? Let me know! :thanks:

A bit of an announcement of my upcoming 3rd original novel, Angel Beat: I just recently found out that there's a new Japanese anime out now called...wait for it.....Angel Beats! Can you believe it? About 2 years developing the characters, plot line, and mythology of my story, and some anime company took nearly the same name I did. :paranoid: Anyway, I'm NOT canceling the story...instead, I'm just changing the title. The new working title is going to be An Angel's Prayer, and I'm actually going to see if there's anything with that title. Hopefully not. :fingerscrossed: I've worked too hard on this story to just let it go just because someone else has nearly the same title. So everyone that actually cares here, please continue to wish me luck. :w00t!:

I recently got to see Dreamwork's How To Train Your Dragon, and I LOOOOOOVED it! :iconmonkeyloveplz: I really didn't think I would...I mean I'm not into the whole CGI craze, but after the good reviews it's gotten so far, I relented, and I'm glad I did. :thanks: It's a heartwarming tale of friendship and standing up for what you believe in, as well as not being afraid to LEARN about something. Hiccup...the main character, is a wonderful role model for that, and he's totally someone I would go for...I love those lovable nerdy type of guys. :iconblushplz: I'd definitely see it again, so give it a chance, okay? This has to be my fave movie of 2010 along with Percy Jackson And The Olympians: The Lightning Thief. :D

I know in my last journal, I expressed my concerns about being ignored here on Deviant Art. Well, it wasn't really just ME being ignored...I was concerned about OTHER people here being ignored....other people who are just as talented or even more so than the "popular" artist here. When I first joined here, I was happy to have made friends, and meet up with some OLD friends I haven't heard from in years. I was happy to see such wonderful art from people who are happy to share their characters, stories, and their life's work. Now....now Deviant Art has become some "popularity" contest and race. Now it's become someplace that if you're not "popular" and draw certain kind of art that people here go "OOOOH! SQUEEE!" over, you're nobody, and frankly, that sickens me.

Deviant Art shouldn't be a place where you can be popular just for your drawn art..it's a place to express ALL forms of art, whether it's drawings or writings, and it's so sad that so many of the artistic expressions are ignored and passed over, just because it's not the "cool" or the "fad" that everyone here is going crazy gaga over...which I won't mention. :paranoid: That's why whenever I visit someone's gallery, I always leave a encouraging comment, even if it's something I'm not into. It's just common courtesy to tell someone "Hey, nice work," or "Wow, impressive, please keep it up." I know how good it makes me feel when someone takes the time to say something, so why not give someone else that pleasant feeling? :aww:

Another thing that I found out that really bothered me over time since joining here, is how the "popular" artist COMPLETELY ignores the comments, notes or faves of others here. I noted one of the so called popular artists here almost two months ago with only a couple of questions because I was possibly going to commission her...I won't mention names, sorry, and up until now, she hasn't gotten back to me. All I can think of now is that she completely thought I was one of those people that just noted her to worship her and thus didn't deserve her response. SO not the case. :O_o: This isn't the first time it happened with a popular artist. Yes, I understand artists...especially the popular ones, can't reply to ALL comments, and they have to be careful of trolls, which I also hate. :XD: But you know what? That's fine. That's one of the reasons why I started doing edits, trying to do my OWN art, because frankly, I don't want to waste my time begging and pleading artists with a God complex, their heads so filled with hot air they can float to the sky. Life is too short to worry about them, and I refuse to go into a corner and cry my eyes out just because someone didn't reply to me. If I do that, then THEY win, and I will NOT let that happen. I've survived this long without much fanart of my original stories, I'll survive longer. I could continue to ant and rave about them much more than this, but I won't...I'm just merely stating what happened. It won't be worth ranting and raving. As the line to a song I love says:

"You know I'm not gonna diss you on the internet, 'cause my Mama taught me better than that!

So yeah, I'm moving on. :thanks: And for those of you who feel as I do about what's going on here, this is for you:

Wow, I actually hadn't felt like it was a popularity contest. But then, I'm only a writer in this website, so I guess it's not the same. I'm sorry if I'm one of those people. Since Gramma died, it's like my muse was killed and I haven't been paying attention to this site since.

Hiyas. :aww: No worries, you're not one of the people I'm talking about. :thanks: I'm sorry about your grandmother. My grandmother...the one I actually LIKED...died in Spring 2007, and I still sometimes find it hard to believe. :( She was such an inspiration to me. It's good to hear from you again, and keep up the work in your gallery. ;)

What's funny is that Iceland isn't really covered in ice, and Greenland isn't really a green country! Iceland sounds nice, I like the language. :thanks:

Well, Icelandic is sort of Germanish, but not quite. It's hard to explain, and it's a difficult language.

No worries, I understand and don't expect artist to reply to EVERY comment they get....I mean, even I know that there are some idiots here that only write those stupid "Like..Oh my god, like, that is sooo cool, like, you should make me a request! Like, I'm totally fangirling you now!" kind of crap from those annoying, bubble-headed teen-girls here. :paranoid: What I meant was comments from people that actually means something, that's worth replying too. *sigh* Anyway, maybe it's just me. Anyway, I do wish you ALL the luck with your school and essays. That's most important. :peace:;)
