Hey folks!

Contrary to belief, I'm here, still alive, still kicking.

I've been recovering from a sickness, and thankfully...I'm doing much better. From since I last wrote, what I thought was just a routine "cold" turned out to be a slight touch of bronchitis. Luckily it was in it's early stage...but it was still enough to send me to the hospital twice.

But I'm okay now. For everyone who showed concern and wrote to tell me to feel better, thank you! You guys are awesome, and I appreciate it.
Okies then, enough about me. I do have a bit more Disney's The Princess And The Frog news!
First up, is a new scene from the movie, which include Prince Naveen talking in his frog form, and which shows how he is turned into a frog by the evil Dr. Facilier. The clip also includes a short interview with John Lesseter, who was in charge of the production of this movie, and how Naveen and Tiana meet. Oh wow, I can tell Naveen is going to be such a charmer and scene stealer in this movie!

Without further ado, please take a look:
[link]Next up is an article I thought everyone who is keeping up with the movie might be interested in. The article basically talks about how much of an impact the movie is expected to make, and how far Disney has come. You can read it for yourself here:
[link]Next is the official blog for The Disney And The Frog from the actually staff and animators of the movie. It's pretty interesting, but the only thing is that it's not updated very much.

Your guess is as good as mine when it'll be updated, but so far it seems the work is going well with the movie. Check it out here:
[link]Last but not least, here is a clip showing a short interview with Anika Noni Rose (Dreamgirls), who is the voice of Tiana, explaining how she feels about the movie, and addressing the controversy (yeah right,

) about the fact that Prince Naveen is not Black American. I mean come on people, does it really matter? Isn't the movie supposed to be about love, not someone's skin color?

Anyway, you can see it here:
[link]I love Anika, she's so beautiful and full of class. I'm glad she got the part.
And to address the so called "controversy" about Prince Naveen...okay, so he's not "Black"....so what? Love is love....I especially admire and celebrate the true love between a man and woman, no matter their race or background...and I don't see why people are in such an uproar about it. The Princess And The Frog will be a beautiful story about love, reaching your dreams, adventure, and overcoming your obstacles. Every single culture and race in the world has stories like that....being your best, and doing just about anything for love and reaching your potential. Does race and skin color really have anything to do with the heart? I personally have no problem with it, and I HOPE....no, I KNOW this movie will do well, despite the annoying whiners about Naveen. Get over it!
Alright, enough about that.

I did see a couple of movies since I last wrote. First up is Dragonball: Evolution. Now, I know there's been A LOT of flack for this movie, and I can understand some of it. While I was never an AVID fan of the manga and anime, I did see a couple of episodes here and there, and I enjoyed some of them. I saw the movie, and while I understood why some things have been changed, I certainly didn't understand all the stupid backlash. Of course the movie wasn't exactly like the anime, of course it didn't follow the manga storyline exactly. Do all those over-zealous, whining, can't-get-a-girlfriend-if-their-lives-depended-on-it, annoying, ignorant, grammatically handicapped fanboys....and admittedly some fangirls...realize that if the movie followed the anime and manga exactly, they'd be in the theater for DAYS? Okay, so in the movie, Goku was not Asian...but NEITHER WAS GOKU IN THE ANIME!!

Even though I didn't follow the story much, even I know that he wasn't originally from Earth and was an alien, and even though he would be raised Asian, he would NOT be genetically Asian. I'm sorry to rant, but I just hate it when those people with no freaking lives would just sit in front of their computers and just spew forth stupid comments for no other reasons than to have people read their stupid 2nd grade writings and react to it. Was Dragonball: Evolution the world's best movie? No, it wasn't, I admit that, but it also wasn't as horrible as those morons are making it out to be. Although I admit there were some things I was not too ecstatic about, it was a good movie, good entertainment, and made me even more interested in Japanese culture. Why those over-zealous FREAK fans wanted more out of it...that's beyond me.
Next up is X-Men: Origins. While I did enjoy this movie, I have to say it wasn't as action packed as X-Men 2 or X-Men: The Last Stand. But I did find the back story of the character Wolverine very interesting. I would never have guessed that he and Sabertooth were...well...I'd better not stay, it might be a spoiler.

At times it felt a bit rushed, and while this movie centered on Wolverine, I would have also liked to see a bit more backstory to the other main characters of X-Men, like they did with Cyclops. I also enjoyed the cameo at the end. When you see the movie, you'll see who I mean.

But in all, a pretty decent movie. Not the best of the X-Men movies, but decent enough.
I'm sure by now most of you know about the NEW Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen trailer. I love it, it just how AWESOME this movie is going to be.

Check it out here:
[link]This movie is going to be epic.

Alrighties, that's about it with me. I'm still just a bit weak, so I don't know when I'll be back on again...but I'll try my best next to let another month go by before I updated.

Thanks for dropping by, and take care.
I don't do well with movies because most movies today are rather crappy in my opinion. I miss all of those real good movies from back then. I'm a big fan of original Transformers, but I'm not really looking forward to the next TF movie.
Take care!
Cutter, I remember that one. I barely remember Ember. Suntop, can't remember that one.
Love is love...
