Ohaiyo people!

Yeah, I know, it's been a while, but I've never really been known as a "talkative" person, and...well..I don't really have much to talk about. I guess you can say I'm sort of a "boring" person with not much to do. Then again, when you live in a small town.....there really ISN'T much to do or talk about.

God I miss New York, but I'm patient, and I know somehow I'll be back again. I had an amazing time in New York over New Year's. It was neat watching the ball drop in Time's Square...ON TELEVISION!

I've been to Time's Square twice before to see the ball drop, and that's quite enough for me. Nothing but big crowds and a big mess.

But it was fun. There's no telling what this New Year will bring us....to everyone across the globe, but we can only hope things will get better.

The one thing that's most important is that humanity has to get over their obsession with "materialism". Every time you turn on the television, you're bombarded with some stupid commercial trying to sell you the "latest", "greatest" thing...whether it be cars, cellphones, iPhones or whatever. People, please remember that the most expensive things in the world, and the things that you buy don't really mean anything if you end up selling your soul to get it....like putting yourself into debt. Remember the important things in life...love, family, friends, a home and a good state of mind. If we can get back to that...get back to what makes us HUMAN instead of something corporations think they have to mind-control to buy their things...perhaps this world can be a better place, ne?
Alrighties, enough of that then.

I got a chance to see The Princess And The Frog, and it was AMAZING!!

Admittedly it wasn't exactly as groundbreaking as Beauty And The Beast or Aladdin, or even The Little Mermaid, but it was damn close, and I had a wonderful time seeing this historic movie unfold. Tiana is a wonderful woman that ALL girls can look up to...although just a bit too "perfect" too me, as though they were trying so hard not to "offend" anyone. But that's forgiven with the amazing storyline, beautiful artwork, and the wonderful other characters.

My only problem is that in certain places, some scenes were just a bit too short and should have been just a bit more elaborate...as though the movie was in a hurry. But other than that, amazing, and it was fun to watch little kids in the theater I was in jump up and dance to some of the songs.

In all...amazing movie!
The next movie I saw was Avatar. Now talk about GROUNDBREAKING!

This movie was unlike any I've ever seen. New technology, new camera angles and filming...it was just amazing! I'm totally in love with the Na'vi race.

While is movie is still doing VERY well, there are still some controversies....such as it resembles Pocahontas a little too much, and that is shows the lead character as the "White messiah" that somehow saved this primitive race.

Personally I didn't see that...I just loved it for it's storyline and it's message, that unless things change...humanity will just destroy itself. I highly recommend it.
For those of you who are interested in upcoming movies, I have a few trailers. First up in the next movie I'm really interested in seeing! It's Percy Jackson and the Olympians. I've read all 5 books in the series so far, and they're amazing! Admittedly is slightly a bit like Harry Potter, but believe me, accept for the two boys in the begining, the stories are completely on their own. Check it out:
[link]Next is Iron Man 2, which I'm sure you've all heard about. Iron Man was a total hit, so it's only natural Hollywood would make a sequel. Needless to say, not all sequel live up to the first movies, so we'll just have to see for ourselves when it comes out if it's worth all the hype.

Take a gander here:
[link]Okay, it's no secret by now...Disney is putting out an all new version of Alice In Wonderland, this time taking place when Alice is about 19 and returns to Wonderland...where it is under the control of The Red Queen. I think it looks amazing so far, and I'm eager to see it!

Here's the new trailer:
[link]Last but definitely not least, is the trailer to the movie Legion. From what I've read, it'll center on how God has lost some faith in humanity, and sends a legion of war-like Angels to basically wipe out the race. (How's that for everyone's perception that angels are cute, chubby baby-like beings that spread love and joy?...

). The only thing that'll stop it is a baby being born with a very special soul. Now this I cannot miss!

[link]Another bit of announcement...a couple of days ago, I posted the last chapter and epilogue of my original story, Osiris Rising. I have to say, I've never been more proud of myself.

Many times I've looked across the internet and saw amazing stories.....but sadly, the authors have abandoned or given up on their stories, leaving it to basically rot. I swore to myself that I would not let that happen to me...I swore to myself that I would not be those authors..whether they were lazy or something happened...who let down their readers. I worked too hard on my characters, worked too hard on my storylines and gave my tears and sweat to it. Yes, there were times when I wanted to scrap everything because I was embarrassed with what I came up with, but I forced myself, scolded myself, and now the story is done.

Sadly the story has not been read by or acknowledged by a lot of people here, but that doesn't matter anymore...at least it's finished and it's uploaded here, and those who are interested can read it. For those of you who are the silent, stubborn type who likes to ignore....go right ahead. But in the end, who's more the fool? The one who sets out to finish his work and did it, or those who are too fool-hardy to notice or acknowledge someone's hard work? You are, not me. So I wanted to thank all of you who took the time to read, to give me feedback and comment on Osiris Rising. I really appreciate it. There's two special people I wanted to thank on making it possible for me to finish, and I mention them in the Osiris Rising Epilogue...but they should already know who they are.

Thanks guys.

Alrighties, that's about it until next time. Thanks for dropping by, and much love to you!!
And I can't wait to read about a new story
