Happy Spring everyone! At last, the weather is getting warmer, the snow is melting, and birds are singing. How I love this season. :excited: Although as I said before, this is happening in the Northern Hemisphere...in the Southern Hemisphere it's quite the opposite. ^^; Ahh well, at least the Australians get to surf in December. :giggle: Not only does  a lot change in the weather this season, but things all over the world is changing..some for the better, others for the worse. That's one of the things I love so much about Spring...the changes. For me, this season represents newlife, new beginnings, new looks, new relationships, new homes, new....just about everything. But this year, Spring has brought about a tragedy that's felt all around the world; the earthquake and tsumani that devastated most of northern Japan, as well as the nuclear meltdown and scare. Please everyone, even if you cannot financially support the Japanese people, at least hold them in your thoughts and prayers. Don't think of it as "oh well, it happened over there, what does it matter to me..." It does matter, because it could have happened here or anywhere. They're not just the "Japanese" people, they're people, like you, like me, like anyone with families, friends, hopes, dreams, sadness and happiness. So let's just take a few moments to remember the people over there who have lost their lives, both Japanese and people from other countries who had the priviledge to live there. It's not a Japanese tragedy, it's a world tragedy.  :(

In a small personal note, Japan also has a tiny place in my heart because when I was much younger, my mom and grandmother sat me down and told me that my grandmother's great-great grandparents...who are MY great-great-great grandparents, were Chinese immigrants to my parents' country many years ago, when many, many countries took in Chinese and Japanese immigrants because of the cheap labor, even America. My mom explained that due to heavy mixing between the two, we could have a trace of Japanese as well. I have not yet confirmed this, but from the pics my grandmother has of her parents and great-grandparents, there is strong indications. So in a way, I could have distant Japanese and Chinese relatives affected by this (as there are many Korean and Chinese living in Japan), and it saddened me a bit. I wish I could help them if it's true. But anyway, at least Japan is getting help, and I'm very happy for that. The Japanese is a very strong, determined, resolute people, and I'm sure they will pull through this. My biggest dream is to go to Japan one day, as well as China. I've always loved the Asian culture, the people, and it would be an honored to see the countries for myself one day. :aww: So yes, keep them in your thoughts, because this could have happened anywhere.

Anyway, in a bit of a lighter note...I was given a Premium 4 Week Membership! :excited: :iconmonkeyloveplz: A nice friend of mine surprised me with it and I couldn't be happier. Puff222001 - [link], thank you so much for the Premium, I'm so honored and flattered you remembered me. :iconhugglesplz: So, anyway.....does anyone know what I can do with a four week membership? :iconsweatplz: I've never had one before, and I'm sure I have things I can do, but I'm not sure what they are. On another bit of news, I've applied on-line to Penn State University, to get my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I've been a teacher's assistant for about 5 years now, and honestly from what I've seen, I think I can be a head teacher....perhaps even be a BETTER teacher than the ones I've seen so far. I've learned a lot, grown a lot, and I think it's about time I take that next step. So wish me luck everyone, okay? ;)

Okay, for a bit of movie news, I got to see Nickelodeon's Rango. Wow, that was one of the most adult CGI cartoon I've ever seen. If I was a parent, I would not have let my child see that movie alone. For a movie that's supposed to be aimed at children, the amount of adult sub-text and LANGUAGE really shocked me. :faint: This was certainly not the children's movie of my day. While the general message of the movie was inspirational...always believe in yourself and the others you care about...I think the producers and writers could have done it without the questionable scenes and dialouge. Still, it was enjoyable, but I hardly recommened adults to let kids see it alone without some explanation.

The new trailer for Disney's Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides have been release, and you can check it out here:

So far it looks halfway decent. I remember seeing Pirates Of The Caribbean 3, and I wasn't a big fan of it. It was all a big, jumbled mess, with barely a plotline and story. Let's just hope they did a better job with this one. ^^; Next up is X-Men: First Class, which personally I'm looking forward to. I was only somewhat a fan of the X-Men: Last Stand movie, I thought it was a bit rushed and a little confusing. I think it would be pretty interesting to see how the whole X-Men legend began. You can check out the trailer here:

Alright, that's it with me. Have a great season everyone, and if I don't write back by Easter, have a wonderful, warm, fun Easter. ;) Thanks to everyone who've been reading and giving me feedback on my story An Angel's Prayer. I know how hard it is to get recognition and feedback here on Deviant Art (unless you draw or write yaoi and yuri....  ), and I truly appreciate those of you who take the time and be mature, responsible, and professional enough to let me know what you think of my writing. Thank you...from the bottom of my heart. :thanks: Thanks all, and come back soon!

At least your having good weather! Its been the first week of spring up in Canada, and we've had rain and snow! SNOW! First week of spring break for some people, others just a regular spring week. Work went fine.

I feel for those in Japan and hope they can bounce back faster than some of the other countries that have been hit by weird weather anomolies...but we can hope for the best and prepare a bunker for the worst.
