I know I have been quite inactive the past month, alot of private stuff going on and upcoming exams, but I will try to be more active again from now on. Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.
A lot of people have asked me how it's going, when it will be published and stuff. I really appreciate getting asked these things because it shows that people are actually interested in my writings, and that it just such a great feeling

I've got two news for you guys today though: one bad news and one good news. Let's start with the bad news.
I haven't finished writing SPIKE yet.
And I honestly don't know when it will be finished - which oddly enough brings us to the good news:
I've made a new, major decision in the SPIKE story that I think a lot of you will be happy to hear. As usual I don't want to spoil too much, but there is a part in the story where Spike and Sam are separated from each other for quite a long while. Whaddup again folks?

I was looking through some old files again, and I found some more Dark Fires Of Cyphyrus pics from an old friend that I thought you all might like to see. They're black and white, but I love 'em, the girls look so cute in them!

So take a peek, and let me know what you think, okay?

I finally finished Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, and it's quickly grown to be one of my fave Harry Potter books, along with The Goblet Of Fire and The Order Of The Phoenix. I really enjoyed it, but hopefully without spoiling it to others who haven't read, I was unsatisfied with how the deaths of Remus and Tonks were dealt with.....it was almost like an after thought, nothing was described or indepth. But I guess J.K. did that on purpose because they were so many other things happening.

Also, even though I'm a little, tiny, bit of a Harry/Hermione fan, I'm okay with Hermione ending up with Ron. Ron Weasley wasn't exactly my favorite Harry Potter character, but if Hermione wasn't destined to be with Harry, then I'm fine with her being with Ron, I don't mind. Besides, while I enjoyed the comfortable close relationship she had with Harry, I think Ron sort of "needed" Hermione...her smarts was the perfect match to his cluelessness.

So yeah, it's cool. At least she didn't end up with Draco Malfoy, like I've seen in some fan art or fan fiction...or even worse, HARRY ending with with Draco Malfoy, like in those ridiculous yoai fanarts I've seen *shudders*

In case I haven't mentioned it before...and just to make it clear, I am NOT a yaoi fan...or a yuri fan. Yeah, that's right, I went there, I said it....I am NOT a yaoi or yuri fan. And frankly to me, making characters of an anime, cartoon, or live action show or movie into a homosexual couple when they are heterosexual or hasn't been STATED whether they are straight or gay, is just sad.

If you're a fan of yaoi and yuri, that's fine, that's your choice and calling...(I have no personal problem or grudge against yaoi or yuri, I'm just not a fan of it

) but be respectful and make yaoi and yuri fanfiction and fanart of characters who ARE strictly canon homosexual, not just characters who only give slight hints about their sexuality. That's my take on yaoi and yuri, and if you rabid yaoi fangirls have a problem with it, then bring it, I'm NOT afraid of you.
